CIT IT Services is pleased to announce its new wireless service for staff, students and guests. Any 802.11 a/b/g wireless adapter will connect to our network. While this services is still in development, a number of different wireless networks are available:

• CIT Student
• CIT Guest
• CIT Staff
• eduroam

Each wireless network has its own characteristics, encryption, and authentication methods.

Initially this service will operate in the area’s most used by Students, we will expand coverage to other area’s over time. The area’s with coverage are:

• Canteen/Atrium
• Library
• Nexus Building
• Open Access

The network is based on Cisco Systems Lightweight wireless access points with a central wireless LAN controller managing these access points as well as the wireless networks offered on campus.
